Asher and Hannah flew solo for a bit until Aunt Abby found us, and Hannah was so sweet- she kept coming over to the room where I was to report on what they were doing with Asher. He even had xrays done without me! What a good boy! His report was awesome- his teeth look great, and the hygienist found his first loose tooth! Dr. Gary told us that his tongue tie is super tight, but that he'd recommend waiting to fix it if a)it's a problem for him and b) til he's old enough for him to help with it, so that it's not something that done TO him, rather something he participates in. He said in boys/men, tongue ties can show up as a problem with sleep and sleep apnea! In girls/women it shows up as tension headaches and shoulder pain. Crazy! Everything in our bodies is connected!
The one piece of bad news (I was super upset) is that Hope's lip tie has reattached. I swore to him I did the exercises exactly as he said and for as long as he said. He believed me lol, and said he gets one about once a year that this happens with. Our poor Hope is that unlucky recipient. He said we didn't have to do it, but the space between her teeth will remain and her lip is still restricted, so we have set a date of May 3rd to have it redone. My heart breaks all over to think of her being so upset, but hopefully she won't remember it! Hannah was this age when we did hers, and she doesn't remember it. Sigh....
Later that afternoon we went to Your Pie with Aunt Abby, as seems to be our tradition before t-ball games. I had a sitter for the first two evening games, but that got expensive, so now little bit comes along as well! It was really cool to have Abby see what Asher does on the field!
When she wanted to snuggle in the carrier I thought she was just tired...little did I know this was the start of the fever....
Asher's Hit
It was our night to bring snack, so Hannah helped with the distribution :)
Thanks for visiting us Abby!!!!! We love you!
