6 MONTHS????!!!!

I cannot believe that it has already been 6 months since our adorable Hannah joined our family.  She is an absolute joy to be a parent to.  She is giggly, happy and an easy baby overall.  At her 6 month checkup on Thursday she weighed 15lbs 6oz  and is 25.75inches long.  She is 50% for both height and weight.  She wears 6 month clothes and wakes up 2-3 times a night to eat, and goes right back to sleep.  She goes to bed at about 730pm and wakes up at about 7-730am.
Last week was a big week for her developmentally as well.  She is now thisclose to sitting up independently.  She actually does sit up but likes to throw herself back so I don't leave her side just yet.  She also started rolling from her belly to her back consistently and by choice, which is HUGE for this mama because it means I don't have to worry so much about her getting stuck sleeping on her face!  Speaking of sleep, last week she also started turning her head when she sleeps!  Win!!  All of a sudden for one of her naps on Tuesday I looked at the monitor and she was like this:
I literally did a happy dance.  Just that little turn of the head was wonderful!  I asked Dr. Silberman about this at her checkup and he said that since the risk of SIDS significantly drops at 6 months that I don't need to worry about turning her over- she will move when she needs to.  He did say that before I go to bed it's always wise to be sure she has airflow around her mouth/nose (obviously) but that since most likely she will just turn herself right back over onto her belly, flipping her onto her back is somewhat futile!  He is correct, as I have done that many many times!  Since talking with him I have put her back in her crib full time at night (instead of the swing).  She's doing great, and her naps are getting longer now that she is sleeping/rolling/turning her head well.  Our little Hannah, growing up (sniff, sniff).
Hannah is also very close to getting her first tooth.  I feel the bumps on her bottom center gums, and she has been a touch grumpy the last week or so.  I expect them any day now!
She giggles at the funniest stuff- last week when Abby was here I was holding her on my hip and following Asher up the stairs (he was crawling up them).  She looked at Asher and just started giggling.  I don't know what was funny about it, but she got a kick out of watching him!  The other day I was doing laundry as she was playing on the floor.  I started waving the towels over her face, close to her but not touching her, which created a breeze.  Man did she giggle.  It was a really hard laugh, and it's a cross between a giggle and a growl, she laughs so hard!  Check it out.
She still doesn't like it when she gets left behind- even when Asher leaves she cries (if he's the only one in the room).  Bless her heart- she'll be so happy when she is mobile!  Just for the record I am not in any hurry for that- haha.
The last "new" thing with her (that I can think of) is that Hannah now grabs at EVERYTHING!  Plastic bags, blankets, Asher's toys, coffee, food, water bottles- everything!
It's such a blessing to watch her grow and change.  Time has flown, and I am so happy to be her mommy.

Doctor Appointment!
Getting her noggin measured!
